Choropleth Map
This map is an example of a choropleth and thematic map from Google Earth; it is made up from digital lights. The author has titled this image as "Flickr Geotagging Statistics." Flickr is a trade name and the map is supposed to flicker to show the location of geotagged images from around the North American Continent. Choropleth maps are thematic type maps that demonstrate some type of statistical data; such as population and area.
